BuraBura Karin lives for interiors that remind her of 1981. She has a beautiful and unique ring pattern of lighter shades in her black walnut body than other Buras from the same tree. One of my personal favorites and I have debated keeping her around longer. She has had a great life in my home space, hence the photo shoot. Her name is derived from one of my favorite concept car designs: the Citroën Karin from the 1980 Paris Motor Show. It also is made with the same warm neon tube that many of the BuraBura lamps feature and come with a braided cloth 12v power adapter. 

These are capacitive touch sensor lamps that that turn on and off with a light touch and fade 4 levels with a prolonged touch. Each lamp includes a 12v transformer with a braided fabric cord and a plug that resembles a miniature instrument cable connector. The glass is fairly fragile, so care should be taken to the placement in your environment  - probably not in an area where small children may have access. Also, when handling, always use the base and never lift using the glass. In addition, this is a neon tube using high voltage, and it gives off an electric field. I strongly suggest keeping hard drives, small electronics, etc., from being too close (5 inch radius) to the tube. At the moment, I am only shipping to the continental US. I can deliver in the NYC area (for a reasonable fee) and pickups are welcome.
